You are invited to a gathering of people in the San Francisco Bay area who have expressed an interest in taking a further role in The Conscious Elders Network (CEN). This event is the opportunity to be with many people who are answering the question for themselves … what it means today to be an elder and to continue to inquire into what conversations, actions and results they want to engage in and contribute to, in the months and years to come.
CEN's vision is that we as conscious elders exercise our role in providing guidance and wisdom within our communities to help them navigate the current cultural shift, which is taking place around the globe. We become catalysts of a social movement in which all generations work together to realize a just and sustainable common future. In so doing, we find a new and rewarding sense of meaning in our lives, and we create a new elder culture in the process.
Because we work together FOR social and economic justice, environmental stewardship, sound governance, and other areas of passion in our network, this event will provide us all with an occasion for generous and committed listening and speaking, and taking actions together that make a difference. We can offer our multiple talents and resources in service to the goal of preserving and protecting life for all generations to come.
The format will be The World Café, giving everyone a place at a table and an experience of belonging in something fun, challenging and worthwhile. If you have not chosen a pathway of specific interest yet, you will be able to choose a group of people with whom you can participate.
The event will be at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), on Saturday, December 6th from 1:30 to 4 PM, on Mission Street, in downtown San Francisco, California.
