Intergenerational Connections Resources

The Legacy Project is an independent, international, big-picture research, education, and social innovation group. We help people of all ages, schools, organizations, and communities with time – lifetimes across generations. Drawing on research in the natural and social sciences, this is about growing our understanding and experience of Big Time for inspired lives, stronger communities, and a sustainable world. Create, Connect, Change.  The website offers an amazing array of guides and activities that are already developed and ready to implement!

Wiser Together is a trail-blazing initiative seeded by the World Cafe to nurture and support powerful partnerships across generations so we can address the critical issues of our time together.

Transition United States is a nonprofit organization that provides inspiration, encouragement, support, networking, and training for Transition Initiatives across the United States. The Transition Movement is a vibrant, grassroots movement that seeks to build community resilience in the face of such challenges as peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis. It represents one of the most promising ways of engaging people in strengthening their communities against the effects of these challenges, resulting in a life that is more abundant, fulfilling, equitable and socially connected. The Transition US website has excellent Intergenerational Resources.

The Global Oneness Project has been producing multicultural stories since 2006. Their library of stories examines global issues with a personal and humanistic lens. Accompanying lesson plans are aligned to National and Common Core Standards and facilitate the development of active, critical thinking while providing meaningful learning opportunities for students.  The resources offered can be used for classroom or large/small group gatherings and offer enormous possibilities for intergenerational work.
